On April 8th, Team Bamboo travelled to "The Great White North" to attend Interdoc's SharePoint Summit 2008. We sincerely appreciate the hospitality of our strategic partner Alcero. In case you didn't know, Alcero is an exclusive distributor of Bamboo's web parts for SharePoint. Our products are available directly from Alcero's web site, and frequently included as components of Alcero's fully integrated solutions.
This show featured many of the usual cast of characters you will see at any SharePoint related event, but provided a unique opportunity to meet the principals in the rapidly growing Canadian SharePoint ecosystem. It was especially interesting to chat with the French Canadian community. So often in the IT world this market segment is underserved and neglected. The result is an extremely resourceful set of problem solvers, and some of the savviest technologist in the marketplace.
We had a product visit to Montreal, made many new friends and enjoyed our downtime in a spectacular city. We'll be back next year, and hope the weather is just as nice.
