Darryl Beard of Baton Rouge EMS was Friday's winner in our daily iPod giveaway at TechEd. Darryl has worked there for nine years and they are currently in the process of rolling to MOSS 2007. He is not a stranger to Bamboo Web Parts, as they have been using Calendar Plus, List Roll-up and of course the Hello and World Clock Web Parts already. They will be integrating with InfoPath services which will be tied in with Windows Mobile so they can manage their inventory and supplies via MOSS. Darryl had missed the Thursday giveaway, so for Friday, he checked the blog to get the exact time and place, grabbed a new Bamboo Nation sticker and was the first person to claim the iPod at the designated time.
With our final winner declared and TechEd08 over, the curtain closes on this year's Bamboo Nation iPod giveaway. We hope to see more faces from the Bamboo community next year in L.A. (and maybe another contest?). My name is Daisy Anand and I work in the Solutions team at Bamboo Solutions. I am a newbie at Bamboo and relatively new to Sharepoint. I work with customers who are interested in custom solutions for when a Bamboo Web Part needs a bit of tweaking in order to fit into their implementation. I enjoy the initial discovery phase as sometimes when we uncover the need behind the ask, we end up solving the original issue out of the box or use a new approach and may resolve the need by using a combination of Web Parts with minor tweaks.
