I'm in California this week for the last tour of our Hands on Workshops. We've been all over the country showing people how our Web Parts can help them tackle the ever present problem of Project Management in SharePoint. Jeremy Minich and Mike Kelleher have put together an awesome presentation and sandbox that has allowed users that come to our workshop to not only learn about our products, but to actually use them. Because who wants to just listen to us yak about them?
Today I'm in San Jose, in the land of tech giants (my hotel was walking distance from Yahoo! headquarters) and I must say, the weather here is amazing! After suffering through oppresive heat in Virginia the past few days, it was amazing to go outside and feel chilly. It's sunny and about 70 degrees which in my book spells perfection. But great weather aside, it's been really fun sitting in the back of the workshop (that's where the cool kids sit, right?) and seeing customers eager to get their hands on our Web Parts.
The workshops were a huge success, bringing hundreds of people from all over the country to learn more about how our products can help solve their needs. We saw big companies, small companies, integrators, people new to SharePoint, people who hate SharePoint - you name it and they came. We're done with the workshops for now (Jeremy and Mike don't remember what their homes look like I don't think) but we will be doing something similar with Webinars - more info on those to come soon!
I'll be in LA later this week for our last workshop...stay tuned!
