It seems like only yesterday I was on these here interwebs, welcoming you to the world of Bamboo's SharePoint Team Calendar, and asking for your ideas. And now, a few months later, I'm here once again -- this time, to tell you about some of the improvements we've made to Team Calendar in release 1.1., which is now available for download on the Bamboo storefront.
I won't waste your time describing features that already exist. Instead, let's take a look at the big differences between 1.1 and the original release.
Overlap Multiple Exchange Calendars
This is the biggie. While there are certainly a number of potential use cases involving Team Calendar and a single Exchange account (representing the team), we immediately realized we'd need a way to support overlapping multiple Exchange calendars in a single display. So naturally, we've added this much-requested functionality into release 1.1, allowing you to manually add additional Exchange accounts to the calendar, or to look them up with an Address Book-like search window. When added to the Team Calendar, that user's shared calendar events are automatically added to the main Exchange calendar display. Accordingly, we've enhanced the Web Part's color coding so that you code for both status AND calendar owner, as the official disembodied, Bob Ross-ish voice of Bamboo explains in the short video below.
Ease of Use
Additionally, our engineering team has also made strides towards creating a cleaner, easier to understand user interface for Team Calendar. You'll see bits and pieces of this effort all over the product, from streamlined meeting and appointment setup windows (that you can move around) to the new user lookup system.

Upgrading from Team Calendar 1.0 to 1.1 is a no-brainer. We've worked out a number of kinks, added a killer new feature, and made the Web Part easier than ever to work into your daily routine. So whether you've tried it before and loved it, or decided it wasn't what you needed just yet, it's a good idea to take another look. Let us know what you think of the new functionality and improved UI, and if you've got an idea as to how we can make it even better, send it our way via the Team Calendar forum.
So get downloadin'.
