Why Hassle Your Team Members for the Project Status Reports? Use Auto-Discovery Mode With Bamboo List Rollup Web Part to get the Data Yourself in a Zappy.

As a program manager, project manager, a person in an executive role or a team member who’s working on multiple projects, don’t you feel lost and overwhelmed as time with the number of tickets, bugs, and tasks that are floating around within all these projects that you have a fork in? Don’t you wish you can just view all these tasks, bugs, and issues in one place instead of opening multiple tabs and mousing around to view which tasks on which projects are delayed? So Do We! That’s why we built Bamboo List Rollup Web Part and we USE it!

Let me give you a bit of info and demonstrate to you how that works.

So, I’m involved with all the core Bamboo products. That means I need to know what’s going on with the project related to the Data-Viewer Web Part R2.0 product as much as with the SharePoint Custom Column Pack or SharePoint Task Master and so on. I can either open multiple tabs and view the tasks, bugs, and issues under each project or I can roll them all in one place using the Auto-Discovery Mode with our Bamboo List Rollup Web Part and then filter them to see what I want to see. Not only that, I can go in and update the tasks that I’m responsible for in one place. If the tasks on the Data-Viewer Web Part project are assigned with the same resources who are working on another project say SharePoint Task Master, I know if there are issues with SharePoint Task Master we either need to reassign those tasks to other resources or let people know that the due dates need to push out. I can make this judgment to report up the chain of my executives by glancing through all the tasks from these projects in one consolidated view.

My conditions/filters for the Bamboo List Rollup Web Part’s Data View are:
1. I want to only see active tasks.
2. I want to see tasks with dates either today or in the future.

Here’s my setup with Bambo List Rollup Web Part:

Voila! Here’s my preview of the list of active tasks I want to see with due dates of today or later:

I can also include an additional List if I want to view both tasks and bugs:
