Democracy Never Tasted So Good (SharePoint Poll Web Part)

As many of you may know, yesterday was an election day in the U.S.  If you have no idea what I'm talking about, please read the news. The whole nation celebrated and exercised individual choice, and here at Bamboo we celebrated with dessert.  What better way to show choice than to choose between bipartisan options of marble and ice cream cake? (They have both chocolate AND vanilla. Everybody wins!)

We know that getting feedback and hearing from people is an important way of gauging sentiment, which is why wmmm. bipartisan cake.e wanted to highlight our SharePoint Poll Web Part. It allows you to set up a poll on your SharePoint site of choice, giving you the opportunity to gather precious information.   How many users are new to SharePoint? What are they using it for? Should there be bagels or donuts on Friday mornings?  All of these are very useful and incisive questions that have the potential to have great influence and bring about change in the way your company approaches issues.

With SharePoint Poll you can create a poll, give users the chance to choose one or more options, and display results in colorful graphs.  But wait, there's more!  Voting can be done anonymously, responses can be exported to Excel, and users can be automatically redirected to another site or page after sharing their innermost thoughts with you.

As always, 15-day trials are available on the product page.  That's just long enough to run a test poll and find that after all this time, you really should've been buying donuts instead.

Then, you can plot the results on the Map Chart Web Part (store.bamboosolutions.com/pc-52-1-map-chart-web-part-release-11.aspx), and pretend you're on CNN. No hologram support yet, though.
