Company: SPANX, Inc. is a U.S. company which manufactures high-end undergarments for women, particularly "body shaping" undergarments designed to give the wearer a slim and shapely appearance. The company's products are marketed to fit contemporary female lifestyles and fashion trends. They have been widely endorsed by magazines and celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Jessica Alba, and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Bamboo: How are you using SharePoint in your organization?

Liz: SPANX, Inc. has experienced phenomenal growth since its inception in 2000 and needed a great management tool for organizing, managing, directing, and publishing both documents and images. Microsoft Office SharePoint Services (MOSS) offers comprehensive solutions to address both our internal needs and our partner integration needs. MOSS is very scalable and widely supported by VARs and add-ons like Bamboo web parts, affording us Enterprise solutions with Spanx - tailored options. 

Bamboo: Why did you choose Bamboo?

Liz: Spanx customers know we're committed, responsive, and innovative! When choosing our business partners, we expect the same. It's easy to see that Bamboo is committed to covering a wide range of MOSS interfaces by looking at the sheer number of offerings. Plus, it's comforting to know they are constantly responding to their customers with regular enhancements and upgrades.  

Bamboo: What problem did our Web Part solve?

Liz: One of our biggest challenges at Spanx was organizing and publishing our calendars for Product Development and Marketing, two interdependent yet separate departments whose schedules must go like clockwork! We needed the basic drill-down, roll-up features that Bamboo offers plus a lot of pizzazz and power to give you an 'at a glance' picture. We've created 11 workgroup calendars, selectively rolled to 5 unique departments, and finally rolled to an over-all Spanx Company level - all of which are independently color coded!

Bamboo: What do you like most about it?

Liz: Having a quick and easy way for users to create custom color coding, flip and print different  views, and see the roll-over magnification is wonderful!  With Bamboo Calendar Plus and Bamboo List Roll-up, we have exactly what we need! Spanx Bamboo!
