Bamboo SharePoint Video Library Beta 2 Coming Soon

Bamboo introduced the SharePoint Video Library in December, providing users with a custom-engineered library for the hosting and use of video files in their SharePoint environment.  The first beta release was presented via Bamboo Labs, our incubator for in-development products, and development in the Labs has continued apace since then.  Today we are pleased to announce that beta 2 is almost here.

Here is a preview of the new features that will be available in beta 2: 

1. Player: Silverlight + Flash + Window Media player (all in one) with automatic file type detection via Bamboo Media Player Web Control
2. Support Flash Video format (.FLV)
3. Video Rating: Support rating in edit and view modes, and allow anonymous rating (AJAX enabled)
4. Video Library folders supported
5. Video Library Advanced Settings page:
   • Player settings: size, autoplay, skins
   • Rating settings
6. Anonymous support
7. Updated Thumbnails view
8. New icons and images in "Bamboo" style
