Bamboo: How are you using SharePoint in your organization?

Drew: We are using SharePoint as a collaboration platform to share information between departments.  There are a lot of people within our organization, and many of our sales initiatives and promotions are interconnected.  By leveraging information on SharePoint, each department can contribute to promote our newspaper in their own way.

Bamboo: Why do you choose Bamboo?

Drew: We chose Bamboo because the Web Parts met our internal requirements best!  The List Rollup and SharePoint Calendar Plus web part helped us realize our goal of shared information.

Bamboo: What problem did our Web Parts solve? What do you like most about it?

Drew:  Again, the List Rollup and Calendar Plus web parts helped us realize our goal of shared information.  Using the color coding, and a bit of customization, anyone within our organization can quickly look at a rolled up calendar and see what is going on in our organization in terms of:

• External Media Campaigns
• News Features and Articles
• Advertising and Circulation Sales Initiatives
• Sponsored Events

By centering SharePoint around the sharing of information with the aid of Bamboo's SharePoint web parts, we will become smarter as an organization by being more aware of what is happening in other departments, and how that could potentially tie into tasks/projects within an individual's own department.
