Adaptable SharePoint Navigation Tools without the Cost of MOSS 2007

Have you found the need for navigation in your SharePoint environment to automatically update base on user login?  Maybe you want users who belong to a specific custom SharePoint Group to see one set of menus while another group may see a totally different set.  Did you know that Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 provides this functionality out of the box utilizing a feature called Audiences.  But not everyone can afford MOSS 2007 and are quite content with a majority of features available in Windows SharePoint Services v3.0.  Well Bamboo Solutions has the solution for you!  SharePoint Navigators provides various menu interfaces for users to interact with provided URLs.  Below is a visual example of each navigation variation available:

Each menu is controlled by a central list called Bamboo Navigators.  Here you define each menu "node" name, the URL associated to that node, and if that node has a parent (if you are using Navigators Menu or Navigators Tree).

To take it one step further, using SharePoint Item Level Security out of the box, you can control which nodes is displayed by opening the item edit menu and clicking Manage Permissions

In the Permissions screen you can define unique permissions to this specific menu node by clicking Actions then Edit Permissions.  Removing a SharePoint Group will result in all users of that specific SharePoint Group not seeing that menu item any more.  Now you have navigation menus that are current-user driven!

Want to know even better news?  Just last month Jeff Tubb announced that SharePoint Navigators are available for purchase individually!

Like all our products, please feel free to add to your cart the fully functional free 15-day trial and give SharePoint Navigators a try in your existing environment.
