Pragmantic SA logoBy way of an introduction, would you please share with our readers a brief overview of the products and/or services offered by Pragmantic SA?

Pragmantic SA specializes in Microsoft Information Worker solutions, MS Navision and MS CRM, and has a deep expertise in Portal Solutions (Intranet and Internet), Document Management, Workflow and Business Process.

Pragmantic SA is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and provides:

  • Consulting services, software integration and training in the ERP, CRM, ECM, CMS packages; and
  • Consulting, services, and products in Business Intelligence, Performance analysis, IT Governance and Project Management fields.

Part of the Veltigroup (comprised of 8 companies with 250 total employees), Pragmantic SA has been the group's Business Solutions integrator company for more than 10 years.

Where is Pragmantic SA located?  (If you've got multiple offices, please feel free to designate your headquarters as well as identifying satellite locations.)

Pragmantic SA is based in Switzerland, with offices in Lausanne (headquarters) and Geneva.

Who founded the company, and when?

Pragmantic was founded in 1999 by LANexpert and was then called LANdevelopment.

(If founded post-SharePoint) Has SharePoint been Pragmantic's primary focus since its inception? 

At the beginning, Pragmantic focused on Business bespoke applications development around .Net frameworks and has since followed the evolution of the SharePoint platform, building a team of functional and technical experts. 

What is Pragmantic's mission?

Pragmantic brings to its customers expertise and best practices around the Microsoft SharePoint Server and is able to design, implement, operate, maintain and support a SharePoint Platform.

Pragmantic is one of the very first companies to develop strong competencies in the Microsoft SharePoint technologies and Pragmantic has been helping Microsoft to popularize its technologies during technical events, to design great solutions and, ultimately, to achieve great customer satisfaction. 

How would you characterize your customer-base?  Who is your ideal customer? 

Pragmantic works with several customers in a wide range of sectors such as Industry, Finance, Public administration, Health, and International organizations.

An ideal customer has the objective to improve the Collaborative and Quality approaches inside its organization.  

Do you employ social media (blogs, wikis, Twitter, etc.) as a means of communicating with your customers? 

Pragmantic employs social media with its customers mostly for project management-related purposes.

What would you say is your single favorite feature/functionality of SharePoint?

Well, Pragmantic specializes in all of the SharePoint platform functionalities and its team of 15 certified consultants brings expertise on Collaboration, Portal, Search, Content Management, Business Processes, and Decision Making.

Conversely, what do you feel is SharePoint's biggest weakness/drawback? 

NA

What is your vision of collaborative computing five years from now?

We think that in the near future, collaborative computing will continue to bring added value inside companies and organizations. Costs of such solutions are very competitive and they contribute to the continuous improvement of process, quality, organization and security policies in companies.  

What led to your decision to partner with Bamboo Solutions via the Partner Advantage Program?

Pragmantic currently uses appropriate functionalities in the solutions delivered to its customers, and as a Microsoft Gold-certified partner themselves, Bamboo products represent those functionalities.
