This Week in Bamboo (November 29th - December 5th, 2009)

For This Week in Bamboo multiple patches were released. You can now display calendar using Calendar Plus Web Part with calculated column. You can also import 2000 task items from Bamboo Project Add-In, which is available via PM Central, from Microsoft Project Office 2007 and retain the relationship between tasks (parent-child, successor-predecessor). Others got some enhancements as well. Please see the details below.

Calendar Plus Web Part (HW20 R3.3.17)

Bug Fixes:
• Color Coding does not hold values in a custom site template.
• Gantt View default scale does not account for year.
• Calendar based on Calculated field doesn't show items.
• When German language file was used, deselected options in the tool pane and the tabs still there.

SharePoint PM Central (SA12 R1.5.64)

Bug Fixes:
• Cannot import 2000 items in by using Bamboo Project Add-In.
• Missing VSTOR30 (Visual Studio Tools for the Office System 3.0 Runtime) as part of the install.
• Error in Application Log Event Viewer: TypeName property is missing in a field type definition.
• Fixed display Web Part version number Web Part for Product Version.

List Rollup Web Part (HW24 R4.2.11)

Bug Fixes:
• Problem with document link in Swedish language pack.
• Undisposed Objects in the Web Part. 

SharePoint Task Master (HW45 R1.6.8)

No longer an issue:
When the "Start No Earlier Than" constraint is set, the End Time may show outside of the working hours.

Bug Fixes:
• Click calculate button show error message:System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException.
• Problem with Task Master web part height. Unable to see all items of the bamboo task list: Height of the webpart is fixed and there is no scrollbar to view all items.
• Javascript error when drag entries:Sys.ArgumentException; Cannot deserialize. The data does not correspond to valid JSON.
• Error - Cannot unregister UpdatePanel with ID 'TaskMaster_updatePanel.

List Bulk Export (HW33 R1.3)

New:
• Ability to create a folder if it does not exist.
• Use Bamboo Licensing 2.6.
• Use embedded manifest to require the application to run as administrator.
• Sign the exe with Bamboo Certificate.

Bug Fixes:
• The modified date puts the same date for all versions.
• Failed to retrieve a complete list of columns from the selected view.
• Resolve the issue of licensing pop up if this application is used on the server that has the Bamboo Ultimate Licensing.

Limitations:
If the URL case is not the same as in the browser address bar, Export will fail with 404 error.

List Bulk Import (HW18 R1.9)

New:
• Use Bamboo Licensing 2.6.
• Use embedded manifest to require the application to run as administrator.
• Sign the exe with Bamboo Certificate.

Bug Fixes:
• When my import data source for bulk list import contains blanks, the corresponding column in the SharePoint list is not updated. Now Only FieldType =Text can be overwritten when value is blank.
• Resolve the issue of licensing pop up if this application is used on the server that has the Bamboo Ultimate Licensing.

Bamboo Lookup Selector (HW41AB R2.2.9)

Bug Fixes:
• Error in Edit form when use Folder Content Type.
• Shows "Object error" when select "None" value for required Parent column.
• Lookup problem with space.

Bamboo KPI Column (HW41J R1.2.4)

Bug Fixes:
• KPI reference breaks workflow.
• Undisposed objects.

SharePoint Navigators (HW50 R1.2.6)

Bug Fixes:
• SharePoint's top navigator bar opens up behind the navigation tabstrips. 
• Undisposed Objects.

User Profile Sync (HW19 R1.5)

New:
• Use duration base license (2.6) - 30 day trial.
• Use embedded manifest to require the application to run as administrator.
• Sign the exe with Bamboo Certificate.
• Provide a separate 32/64bit setup.

Password Expiration Web Part (HW23 R1.5)

New:
• Use Bamboo Licensing 2.6 and Web License Manager(WLM) 1.2.
• Use embedded manifest to require the Notification Add-on to run as administrator.
• Sign the NT service exe with Bamboo Certificate.

Bug Fixes:
• Resolve the issue of licensing pop up if the service component is used on the server that has Bamboo Ultimate Licensing. Note: customers need to contact sales/support to get a separate key to activate the license for NT service using License Manager 2.8.
• Password Reset's email notification to AD users who password have already expired.
