SharePoint Calendar & Related Web Parts

Our primary mission with Calendaring with SharePoint is to bring you the most useful resources on the topic in one convenient package. This page consists of a collection of SharePoint calendar (and calendar-related) Web Parts that are available to enhance the out-of-the-box SharePoint calendar experience.  Naturally, we've included our own calendar Web Parts, but we're also including a list of competitor's products (including some freeware products that are available in the SharePoint calendar space).  We encourage you to investigate your options, and we invite you to download a free 15-day trial version of our products to take them out for a test drive.  If you have questions on any of our products, please don't hesitate to post your questions in the forum for that product.  Bamboo Nation is here to help!

Bamboo Calendar Plus Web Part  With the Bamboo Calendar Plus Web Part, you can provide a calendar view of any list, library, or SQL Database.  Yes, SharePoint provides a list view called Calendar, where users can see Day, Week and Month view, but what if you want to see a Work Week View, or Year View, or even a Gantt View?  With SharePoint calendar view, you can specify the display column shown on the calendar, but what if there are other useful details, for example on an events list where you want to see the location and description as well?  Using the Bamboo Calendar Plus Web Part, you can display more columns using mouseover tool tips.  Lastly, what if you want to visually and quickly identify types of lists?  With the Bamboo Calendar Plus Web Part, you can color code choice columns to allow users to decipher easily between types of items.  Continue reading.

Bamboo Team Calendar Web Part  What do we want, in our heart of hearts? We want one calendar to rule them all, so to speak. We want our SharePoint list events, our Outlook meetings, and our critical reminders in one place, and we want to access it remotely, from a web browser. We want it to add events from SharePoint, review and edit them in Outlook when we're at our desktop PC, and view them in both. We want our calendars to reflect the fact that although the things that populate our calendars may be projects with dates associated with them, or meetings with people associated with them, or something in between, at the end of the day, they're all just things we have to remember to do, which is why we want them on our calendar in the first place (color coded, please).  Someday, we'll get there ... and for us, it starts with the brand new, just released Team Calendar Web PartContinue reading.

Bamboo Mini-Calendar Web Part - This small calendar fits right next to your SharePoint list and allows you to easily filter and highlight important items by date, saving you time and letting you quickly access your events or tasks.  By connecting Mini Calendar Web Part to your standard SharePoint list, you can quickly select and view active items for a particular date on a calendar.
