MashPoint - Data Integration for SharePointDownload the official MashPoint release, available as of November 7th, 2008.

Jonas Nilsson Q&A

MashPoint was the first product we released via Bamboo Labs.  With its official release, MashPoint is now available as a free download in our storefront, but Bamboo Labs remains the place to visit to see the latest cutting edge products and technologies from Bamboo.  You may download and use these products for free.  We urge you to provide feedback.  Tell us what you like, what you don't like, what works and what doesn't.  Suggest new features and capabilities.  This is your chance to help ensure that Bamboo is building products and services that best meet your needs.

We are already working on the list of features below for the next version of MashPoint, but we want to hear your feedback and accomodate your feature requests as well.  Please visit the MashPoint Forum and tell us what you think.

An Ongoing Effort - Enable More Bamboo Web Parts to Consume Data Via MashPoint

For the initial beta release of MashPoint, we enabled three of the most obvious and most useful Bamboo Web Parts, Data-Viewer, Virtual Map View and our hot new Silverlight media player.  Coming soon we will provide MashPoint enabled versions of the Bamboo Chart Plus Web Part, Calendar Plus Web Part and Mini-Calendar Web Part.  Ultimately all Bamboo Web Parts will be firmly grounded on the MashPoint platform.  In the meantime, your feedback will definitely help us prioritize the retro-fit efforts.

And again, the impetus for developing MashPoint was our desire to enable connections and interactions between Web Parts.  For example, data from a Bamboo Cross List will be available to be consumed by the Calendar Plus Web Part.  The possibilities are endless, and our prioritization of data integration efforts will be strongly influenced by community input.
