Release 1.0 of MashPoint implements the Administration namespace so you can programatically create/update/delete LobSystems.

namespace Bamboo.Office.Server.ApplicationRegistry.Administration

The MetadataModel namespace have been supported since beta 1 for you to consume MashPoint/MOSS BDC data.

In the instructions at the point of creating the new BSS, it says to select the Web Application that will host the Shared Service, which I assume should be the new BambooSSP web app we are told to create, however in you image, you are selecting the defaul SSP, not the BambooSSP. This is rather confusing.

Hi Carlos,

When using WSS, you just need to create a Web Application in the Central Admin. Once the new Web App is created, you then create a Bamboo SSP and associate the Web App with the Bamboo SSP follow the procedure described in this article.

If you still have a problem, please post your comments in this forum, community.bamboosolutions.com/.../73.aspx, and we can help you with maybe additional steps and screen shots.

We will be releasing a Business Data Column to Bamboo Labs that will support MashPoint by August 15, 2008.

Linda, you are absolutely right. We are working on a business data column for MashPoint that will allow you to surface your Oracle information in a SharePoint List. I don't have a release date I can offer you yet, but I will post one next week so you can know when to expect it.

This is great, HOWEVER, it really does no good at all to the mainstream community if you cannot map data from MashPoint directly into an out-of-the-box SharePoint List. I look forward to review a future release that offers this functionality as my customers really need this to connect to Oracle easier. But until then I cannot recommend it to them. Thanks!
