We launched Bamboo Nation, the online community about SharePoint, back on April 26th, 2008. We were cautiously optimistic that there was an audience for SharePoint content out there on the Web, but honestly nobody knew for sure.
Well, the early returns are in, Bamboo Nation is a hit! Traffic to the site has grown exponentially over the past five months. Back in May, the first month of existence for Bamboo Nation, we saw about 3,000 unique visitors to the site. For September, we are on track for 20,000 unique visitors. Bamboo Nation has grown to be one of the most popular sites for information about working with SharePoint. We are humbly grateful to the community, our audience and our customers for getting involved, contributing content and helping us create a valuable resource.
We are eager to share the fruits of our labor. Starting today, we will be offering free advertising to members of the Bamboo Partner Advantage Program. Simply provide us with a 728 x 90 banner ad and a target link, and we will schedule your ad for rotation across Bamboo Nation. We want you to talk about a timely issue, or share a valuable experience, but beyond that you are welcome to plug your company and your products. Pack your post with topical keywords, and your blog post will continue to generate traffic and referrals for months and years.
- Sponsor a blog. Bamboo Nation is home to a number of blogs, some targeted at very specific audiences. SharePoint Blank is written for novice SharePoint end users. SharePoint Daily is written for the busy CIO. We can create long running sponsorship placements for you to help you reach these niche market segments.
