September 2008 - Spotlighting the Rock Stars of SharePoint

Bamboo Nation has your backstage pass for exclusive interviews with the rock stars of the SharePoint community!

As the SharePoint community continues to grow, we at Bamboo Nation felt that a spotlight should be shined on the talented folks who work tirelessly to improve SharePoint every day, for all users.  With this in mind, we decided to dedicate our newest feature area to what we were originally thinking of as a "who's who" with profiles of notable individuals in the SharePoint community.  The more we thought about it, however, the more we felt that rather than authoring profiles with a few pull quotes, it would be far more compelling to present these rock stars of SharePoint in conversation and in their own words.

We'll be bringing you a series of regular interviews with the luminaries of the SharePoint field, ranging from MVPs, to authors of SharePoint books, to SharePoint trainers, to consultants, and beyond.  The SharePoint community is filled with dedicated professionals who are passionate about SharePoint as it exists today, and even more passionate about the promise SharePoint holds for the future of IT professionals.

We've presented a couple of interviews within Bamboo Nation in the past, and since a) those interview subjects are rock stars in their own right, and b) those experiences led to the decision to present this new area in a Q&A format, we're going to collect them in this area as well.

Kicking off our original interviews for this series, we needed look no further than our own Technical Advisory Board to have our pick of bona fide SharePoint rock stars.  We sat down with Bob Mixon for our first interview, then we closed out the "Bobs" category of our Advisory Board members with, no, not Dylan, but with SharePoint rock star, Bob Fox.  Continuing to spotlight the members of our august Advisory Board, we next presented the SharePoint Rock Stars interview with Jeff Webb.

With our latest offering, we proudly feature a man whose very name is synonomous with SharePoint, SharePoint Joel himself, Joel Oleson.
