IE9 Beta 10 Million Downloads - Download New IE9 Platform Preview 6 (PP6) Now (Softpedia)
I’ve heard some rumors that Microsoft was planning a new release of Internet Explorer 9 to go live today at the Professional Developers Conference 2010, and even speculation that it was the second Beta development milestone of IE9. It turns out that this time around the rumors were only half true. A new release of Internet Explorer 9 is indeed available for download, but it’s not IE9 Beta 2. Users interested in test driving Beta of Internet Explorer 9 will still have to rely on Build 9.0.7930.16406 offered to the public on September 15th.

Eat or Be Eaten. Gov 2.0's Social Darwinism (The Huffington Post)
So here it is. We are there. Where are we? Gov 2.0 as Social Darwinism. Eat or be eaten. Kill or be killed. Recently the U.S. Federal Government has gotten into the "platform" business. A move I called for, and therefore congratulate the GSA on.

Free ebook: Programming Windows Phone 7, by Charles Petzold (Microsoft Press)
This book is a gift from the Windows Phone 7 team at Microsoft to the programming community, and I am proud to have been a part of it. Within the pages that follow, I show you the basics of writing applications for Windows Phone 7 using the C# programming language with the Silverlight and XNA 2D frameworks. Yes, Programming Windows Phone 7 is truly a free download, but for those readers who still love paper—as I certainly do—this book will also be available (for sale) divided into two fully-indexed print editions: Microsoft Silverlight Programming for Windows Phone 7 and Microsoft XNA Framework Programming for Windows Phone 7. [Note from Devon: we should have these ready for order in December 2010.]

Custom Styles for SharePoint 2010 Rich HTML Field (SharePoint Blues)
A typical requirement from a client is to be able to incorporate their own custom styles for the Rich Html Field. Allowing their public relations department to apply nice text formatting for paragraphs with some Comic Sans Hotness might not be the best practice in here, so let’s be careful out there. The best scenario is only to allow custom formatting for headings, paragraphs and maybe a few different table styles but let’s go!
