5:00 am (PDT)
I have been in Las Vegas all week, and I woke up at 4:30 am to catch a 7:30 am flight to Denver, CO. Let's just say I didn't get much sleep throughout the week. In spite of this, I was quite excited since I will be officially launching my book, SharePoint for Project Management, at the PMI Global Congress. In addition, I will be presenting "7 Ways to Leverage SharePoint for Project Management Success" tomorrow at 9:30 am to about 160 people.
10:30 am (MDT)
Arrived in Denver, CO and caught a Super Shuttle to my hotel, Marriott City Center, which is a few blocks from the Convention Center where the PMI Global Congress is going to be held. I was expecting chilly weather but, lo and behold, it was sunny and the temperature was in the 80s.
3:30 pm (MDT)
Went to the Convention Center and registered. After that, stopped by the Learning Tree booth to help setup. To my surprise, I can't track down the 50 SharePoint for Project Management books that O'Reilly sent for me to give away. Oh no!
Mayday, mayday! E-mails and Twitter tweets were sent to my editor and marketing contact at O'Reilly.
7:00 pm (MDT)
Still no sign of the books. Anyway, I figure they will show up tomorrow. For the meantime, had dinner with Mike, a colleague from Innovative-e, Jackie and Colin, colleagues from Learning Tree. Thanks Colin for buying a round of Guinness on tap!

6:00 am (MDT)
Rise and Shine! Getting a little nervous for my presentation in a few hours.
7:30 am (MDT)
Arrived at the Convention Center to setup the equipment for my presentation. Thanks Colin and Jackie for helping me setup the room.
9:00 am (MDT)
My presentation starts in 30 minutes and people are slowly filling up the room. I'm surprised that they didn't sleep in, considering it is a Sunday morning. I almost forgot, PMPs get 1.5 PDUs (Professional Development Units) for attending my presentation - is this why they came?
9:35 am (MDT)
Lights, Camera, Action!
10:45 am (MDT)
"At 12 noon, you can download the presentation by going to my blog. Also, I will give away a signed copy of my book to the first 50 people who stop by the Learning Tree booth tomorrow, Monday, at 9:00 am."
Did I just make a promise that I won't be able to keep?
11:05 am (MDT)
The presentation just ended. It went well - the room was packed! about 250+ people, and everybody was interested. There is a line of people waiting for me to answer questions.
Looks like somebody blogged about my presentation as well.
12:00 pm (MDT)
As promised, I uploaded the presentation to my blog, and it's also now available for download here in Bamboo Nation.
3:00 pm (MDT)
No sign of the 50 books yet, now I'm in trouble.
3:45 pm (MDT)
Waiting for Gen. Colin Powell to give the keynote address. Getting ready to live blog using Twitter.
4:00 pm (MDT) - 5:20pm (MDT)
Follow my live blog Twitter tweets of Gen. Colin Powell's speech.
6:00 pm (MDT)
Frantically searching for the 50 books. Nothing.
Now on to Plan B. Wait. I don't have a Plan B.

8:45 am (MDT)
A few steps away from the Learning Tree booth and I see a line forming.
9:00 am (MDT)
Dux: "Okay, seems like we're not sure if the books made it or not, so here's what we'll do, give me your business cards and I will send you a signed copy of the book."
Person #23 in line: "That's great, one less thing to carry."
I thought to myslef, Plan B turned out to be a great idea!
9:20 am (MDT)
All in all I got 68 business cards. Guess I will be covering the other 18. Not a problem.
Got an e-mail from O'Reilly saying the books were indeed sent.
11:00am (MDT)
At the airport going to catch a flight back home. I enjoyed meeting everybody at the Congress.

5:40 pm (EDT)
Are you wondering what happened to those 50 books? Can you help solve the mystery?
Bamboo will give away a signed copy of my book to the first person who solves this mystery. So to all aspiring Sherlock Holmeses out there, tell me what you think happened to the 50 books by leaving reply in the PM forum.
