We just went through several major layoffs and our Exchange people are being hammered with SharePoint alerts that can no longer make it to a deleted account. I was thinking about your alert manager to remove alerts for deleted users, but am now wondering if it would be worth it to just get the user management. If I could clean up memberships to sites, when the users were removed so were their alerts going out to these guys it might be worth the extra.

This is an interesting question. This product does provide the option to delete the user from SharePoint using SharePoint Object Model. We would need to test to see if SharePoint remove assocaited Alerts when a user is deleted.
