I am using the Team Calendar webpart to display information from a SharePoint calendar (no Exchange in this scenario). In month view, the calendar only displays information on the first seven days of the month - the remaining days of the month show no items. If you switch to Day View or Week View and go to a day later in the month, the items are there, but if you switch back to Month view, they disappear. Any clues?

No, that controls how many items appear on a SINGLE DAY in the month view. As I stated above, the problem is that no items are appearing in month view after the 7th day.
I'm getting frustrated with the number of problems we have using these webparts.

Currently, we cannot replicate the issue which you described.

Just an FYI for anyone else who has this problem, Bamboo support has confirmed the issue but they don't have an estimate for a fix yet. In my experience, the problem occurs when connecting to SharePoint calendars, but not with connections to Exchange calendars. I know I can use the Calendar Plus webpart to connect to SharePoint calendars, but the skins for the Team Calendar are a lot cooler.
