I am trying to go thru the mashpoint walkthrough for the adventure works db and everything works as expected until I get to the point of creating the new column. I am seeing exactly what it states in the link until I get to creating the column.
help is greatly appreciated.

You must give the user rights to pick entities. You must also give the user rights to execute.
