Our main SharePoint page serves as a portal for our users. It is their default home page in IE. When we initially purchased and setup the Password Expiration Web Part, we put an instance of it on the home page to automatically redirect users to the password change page (containing a Bamboo Password Change Web Part) when their password only had one grace day left. This has worked great for the last several months.

Starting this morning, lots of my users started reporting that they were being redirected to the password change page but they still have many days before they are required to make a change. For example, one of my users was redirected to the change page and when they got there, the message said that the password would expire in 31 days (see attached screen shot).

So, why is the redirection happening for users who don't yet need a change?

JRoberts:

Do you know if there were any modifications to the domains Group Policy where these users are authenticated such as auto-expire password on next logon or something like that?

Thanks,
