Hi,
I'm trying out the trial version of the sync tool and can get it to work with users contained inside of folders in the AD structure but cannot get it to find users inside of security groups. I can see the users inside the security group when using the AD LDAP browsing utility and I've copied the connection string over from that but it just doesn't pick any of the users up.
Is this something that isn't supported with the sync tool? I'm syncing AD to WSS3.0.

You can user User Profile Sync to synchronize (AD to SharePoint WSS 3.0) select AD Security Group(s). Here is an example of an LDAP connection string that connects to a specific AD Security Group within an Organizational Unit:
LDAP://moss:389/CN=E-ffx Members,OU=MOSS Users,DC=moss,DC=local
