"There is no data to display" ERROR with SP lookup fields

Hi

I have two linked lists COMPANIES & CONTACTS

CONTACTS has a COMPANYID lookup field

If i define COMPANYID as a standard SP lookup field, I can add all the fields of both tables, BUT i get the message "There is no data to display"

Howerver If I redesing my tables and if i define COMPANYID as a Bamboo lookup field, it works fine

Does your Cross list webpart work only with Bamboo lookup fields?
