Hi all,

the idea of the aggregation of different log-information sounds good. Although I have still some questions how this solution works. Hope you will answer... ;-)

  1. Will the information be stored as duplicate entry in a central log-hive or are they read from the original log?
  2. Can the Log Manager handle / aggregate information from distributed systems (e.g. Sql-Cluster or Moss-FE-Farm)?

Many regards,

Axel

Axel,

The Bamboo Engineering group had some information on your question.

1) The current version is reading from the original log. We are working on new version to improve performance.

2) System Log Manager will show SP , SQL , IIS , Application, Security, System logs for all servers connected to a SharePoint Farm. All of our products have a 15 day free trial. Please download the System Log Manager and give it a try.
