I have sharepoint 2010 sp1. I have added the tree veiw webpart to a page and assigned it to a document library. The library shows up fine, but when I click on an xls file it tries to open it in excel services. The library that the tree view web part is reading from is set to open files in the client application. If I go to the underlying document library and click on an excel file, it opens within the client application (excel). All other file types work correctly the the tree view web part. I have looked in the web part settings but did not find any settings for xls files.
Is there something I need to set to have xls files open within the client application, instead of excel services? I have also added the library as a trusted location, but this does not help, still cannot open an xls file in bamboo tree view web part.
