We're using WFC 2.1 and thanks to Jeff's post here I have my syntax correct, including quote marks around field references.
My problem is that I'm trying to calculate the difference between two datetime fields in SP (Created and Modified) to determine how much time has passed between the creation of a list item and when it is first modified. I can calculate the difference between two dates using datevalue() however what I really want is to calculate the difference between two times using timevalue() - a formula that exists in Excel and is analogous to datevalue() except in that it ignores the date component, whereas datevalue ignores the time component.
Is it possible to use timevalue() (I'm being told "no" by WFC - Missing or invalid parameter when trying to click OK to save the formula in the Calculate widget), or is there an alternate way to calculate the difference between two times (please note, I'm already using a Conditional Branch to ignore instances where Created and Modified occur on different days).
Thanks in advance.
Unfortunately, at this time, we don’t support this function,
but it should work in next release.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
That's unfortunate to hear, but thanks for letting me know. I have another, less elegant, solution which will get the job done for now, however for future reference can you please confirm that the list of functions shown in the Helper Function in WFC is exhaustive (see screenshot below)?
Also, is there any roadmap you can make available to me which indicates when (if?) the full set of Sharepoint/Excel functions will be available in WFC?
Now, in the Help Function in WFC are functions which are supported in Calculate widget. In next release, we’ll try to support almost of Excel functions in WFC. Could you please follow up release note in the Store.
Please let us know if that helps.
Thanks Vy, I'm receiving the regular emails about updated products, so I'll keep checking the release notes as they come out.
