What are the key differences between the two? What use cases are different?

Ok, I think I see now, the User Profile Plus doesn't actually pull from the User Profile. It also looks like it has some capabilities that are enhanced over the actual User Directory part. Will we see any of the improvements in this web part in the User Directory web part?

Hello SpoonsJTD,

The key differences between User Directory and User Profile Plus is:

• User Directory allows you to connect to Active Directory or MOSS 2007 SSP Profile Database.
• User Profile Plus allows you to connect to Contacts list or User Information List (profiles per site collection).

Each has their own advantages but that is due to the source they are connecting to.
