I wanted to comment on the request to "...modify the highlighted area to display the info? I am trying to force users to enter articles in a consistent format." We are planning a KBSA release for July 2012 and plan to add a template feature that will address this need.

For the new version of our Knowledge Base Solution Accelerator (KBSA) that came out on March 19, 2012 (R2.2.37), the article display is now a popup display, so it may not be obvious how to edit that page to add new list columns to the display. If you are wondering how to do this, follow these steps:

On the client site of the KBSA, click All Site Content in the left navigation area. When you see the content, open the Site Pages library.
Click to open the page called DisplayPopUpPage. You will see a message "Article can only be displayed when it is selected from the tree view under Home". You will not see the page ribbon for this page, so to edit it select Edit Page from the Site Actions menu.
Follow the instructions above for adding a column to the display area of the web part.

There is no way provided to have the additional fields display information in the article content area (area you highlighted). My recommendation would be to make the custom columns (Symptom, Cause, Resolution, etc.) required and then including this information in the "Custom Related Article Information" section in the web part configuration as identified in my previous response. I do not have any additional recommendations for achieving this.

You can configure the article display page to show additional information in the "Custom Related Article Information" section of the Article Display page. To do so, follow these instructions:

On the KB Client site, navigate to a KB article (any will do)
Edit the web part on the page
In the Custom Related Article Information, you can select up to 3 additional fields that you would like to display in your KB (see screenshot 1 below)
Once configured, you will see this section in your article display (see screenshot 2 below)

I have added new columns to the Articles, how do I get them to display on the article display page? They are kb rich text fields. I have renamed the Article Text to 'Symptom' and added 'Cause', Resolution and More info.
